Bosphorus Apartment, Istanbul

Located in the historic Beşiktaş neighborhood of Istanbul, this residential project was designed with the beauty and serenity of the Bosphorus in mind. Located in Europe, overlooking Asia, the project was the perfect medium to bring the Japandi style to life. Natural materials and simple lines create a serene minimalism in all spaces, bringing the best of two different worlds: Scandinavia and Japan, just as the Bosphorus unites Anatolia and Thrace.

Being one of the oldest neighborhoods in Istanbul, Beşiktaş has a great historical background with traces from Sephardic to Armenian and Turkish, making the area the perfect place for art and culture.

Bosphorus House was designed with bespoke items that were built exclusively for the project, from the kitchen to the bathroom and bedroom, with inspirations from the past and present.

Minimalism and functionality come together in natural wood, simple tones and soft undertones, creating minimal but well-curated spaces in the Japandi style. The floor-to-ceiling windows of the residence offer fascinating panoramas of the Asian shore of Istanbul, being located on the European side, contemplating the Bosphorus from above.
